WELCOME TO THE BAD BOY RUNNING CLUB
Have you ever seen a runner who’s having fun? Maybe even has a smile on their face? Or …. Stop The Bus! A group of people laughing while racing together, who then paint the town red afterwards. Welcome to the Bad Boy Running Club. (Yeah, we never thought we would type those words either…..)
WHO WE ARE
Bad Boy Running Club (BBRC) is a virtual running club open to anyone and everyone regardless of age, speed or ability. We celebrate and endorse the best bits about running without the stress, politics or mandatory turning up for sessions you hate. Whether you want to find people to run with, go faster, further or just get a couple of quid off races whilst wearing a kickass top, we’re glad you’re here. Inspired by the thriving community around the Bad Boy Running (BBR) Podcast, BBRC aims to slide nicely into the gap between old fashioned real-life running clubs and those websites where you get a medal for virtually running around your lounge. Our ethos is simple. You can dick around, but don’t be a dick.
WHAT WE DO
Here you will find a bunch of like-minded people from all over the world to run, drink, train and hang out with. BBRC support, inspire, encourage and develop every member at their own pace. We don’t celebrate the win – we celebrate taking part, community and personal achievement, whatever that may be. We don’t judge you on speed, medals or trophies, unless you’re boring us to death by constantly mentioning it. We want this to be a happy place where people feel welcome, loved and supported. It’s vomit inducing, isn’t it? But many a good night ends with a cheeky vom!
Here you will find some people that know a lot about running and some that don’t. You will find people of all levels to race with, train with and chat with. We’re EA affiliated, so you’ll get money off races and events, and significant membership discounts from lots of other races companies that are exclusive to us. We bring the fun to a race, so race directors actively encourage us to come.
Afraid of a distance? Well fear no more. Each year we will select races of most distances that members can train towards, and then race together - fully supported by the community. We hope to have regional reps across the country and across the world who are on hand to organise meet ups and training sessions as well as offer advice and training tips. If they don’t know the answers, they know someone who does. They also know where the best pub runs in their areas are. We’re working on getting our list together so be patient! Plus, there is always someone on the internet to help answer questions and compare Netflix recommendations with (Icarus anyone?).
